US OPEN!

Well, things started off a little rocky on this year’s venture to Memphis for the 2006 US OPEN Racquetball Championships.  While furiously packing for my trip two hours before my flight, a large tree came crashing down onto my house and car (tearing the backboard off of my basketball hoop in the driveway).  Then, I arrived in Memphis to discover the airlines had “delayed” my bags, and that I wouldn’t get my luggage until sometime before midnight on Thursday.  The main problem here was that the charger to my camera batteries was in my luggage.  I had two full batteries ready, but I had to “wean precious cycles” off of them all day Thursday until my bags showed up (at the WRONG HOTEL!).  Friday started and ended well, and things were in full swing from the photo standpoint.  I’ve got some pictures starting to trickle in, so keep checking back for updates!
